I've been very fortunate over the last 60 days - there has not been a single day where I could not run. That is to say I have been physically able to run each and every day.
That little streak of health is over.
I'm entering my third day of some flubonic type thing, which came on like strep throat and has me muzzy-headed and weak with a sore throat and little energy. So I skipped a day on my training plan.
No big.
I skipped another day yesterday. I'll go tomorrow, I promised myself.
It's tomorrow and I feel no better. Still achy, still weak enough that a trip taking my son's forgotten lunch to school has me feeling sapped.
But now it's serious. My 10k plan has me down for a 4-mile run today, and I'm not sure I could walk a couple miles.
I have to try, of course. What do you do to keep yourself going when physically you feel unable to?
Here's your runner's thought of the day. That's what I'll do. I'll just go outside and fly for a bit. That sounds easy.
